About QUEER AS ART
Our Mission
The Lutruwita queer artist collective, QUEER AS ART, works together to benefit its members by seeking opportunities to:
- increase the visibility of queer visual artists
- showcase their art collectively and individually
- market and sell their art
- share knowledge, ideas and learn from each other
- network and collaborate with other groups and individual visual artists
QUEER AS ART aims to:
- enhance the presence of queer visual art in the Tasmanian community and art scene
- counteract the isolation felt by queer artists and members of the LGBTIQ community in general
- support its member artists, established and emerging
