QUEER AS ART is a queer artist collective in Lutruwita/Tasmania, working together to benefit its members by creating opportunities to:
▪ increase the visibility of queer visual artists
▪ showcase their art collectively and individually
▪ market and sell their art
▪ share knowledge, ideas and learn from each other
▪ network and collaborate with other groups and individual visual artists
QUEER AS ART aims to
▪ enhance the presence of queer visual art in the Tasmanian community and art scene
▪ counteract the isolation felt by queer artists and members of the LGBTIQ community in general
▪ support its member artists, established and emerging
